Many players on ACR use a poker head-up display, or HUD, to help improve their play. A HUD gives you a historical analysis of a player directly on the poker table, helping you in your decisions. Supports all America's Cardroom game types 'Jackpot Poker' tables, 'On Demand' tournaments, cash games, scheduled tournaments, and Sit & Go tournaments.

Americas Cardroom has been suffering from glitches lately, leading to many upset players. Some of these unwanted incidents have included failed software updates, miscoded tournaments, and corrupted graphics. Read and find out more about these unfortunate happenings. PokerTracker4 is the #1 poker tracking software available. I’ve been using it since 2006 to improve my and my student’s skills. #1 for US: Americas Cardroom. ACR is the most trusted U.S. Poker Room since 2001. Play on Americas Cardroom. For Rest of World: 888 Poker. 888 Poker has been around for a long time and is a very. America’s Cardroom is considered the number one online and mobile poker website in American offering a huge choice of games, tournaments and special offers. Americas Cardroom’s games are powered by its own proprietary software and the games are only available to play in a downloadable version which can be installed on your laptop, PC or Mac. This means you only need to install it once and then you can play poker.

Just before 2020 ended, Americas Cardroom hired former Team PokerStars Pro Randy “nanonoko” Lew as a consultant. It was a perfect move.

Americas Cardroom grew its player base exponentially last year. When poker players around the world entered lockdown in March 2020, many of them flocked to places like Americas Cardroom and other sites on the Winning Poker Network like Black Chip Poker. They offered a respite from lockdown boredom stir-craziness.

While WPN has taken steps in the past few years to assure the poker community that safety and integrity are priorities, the network knew that it needed to do something more. It would take something (or someone) more significant to keep the players it gained.

Nanonoko became the ACR Security Consultant and Gameplay Expert. Working with the WPN team, he planned to focus on collusion, suspected fraud, and bot activity. His many years in the poker industry as a player and commentator, his integrity, as well as his thorough understanding of the inner workings of online poker, were pure assets for WPN.

I’ll be helping @ACR_POKER becoming one of the best poker websites for you to play at. While as players we often think of just the software, features, and the big fields, what happens behind the scenes to keep you secure is just as important. https://t.co/oIOMsoT17r

— Randy Lew (@nanonoko) December 24, 2020

Stepping Right Up

It didn’t take Lew long to find his lane.

To warm people up, he tweeted some information about online poker bots and site security.

🚫🤖🔒 Bots, cheaters, and how advanced security keeps them at bay. Read all about the current state of online poker security here: https://t.co/t1Lolnndvp#BigBlindBlogEV#ACR#Poker#BlogArticle#PokerBlog#PokerLife#PokerPlayer#TheBigBlindpic.twitter.com/X6vSTIjV6t

— Americas Cardroom (@ACR_POKER) January 13, 2021

He also addressed recent player bans due to their use of seating scripts and stalling. Warnings about violations of the WPN terms and conditions policies precede all bans, and the type of ban depends on the severity of the violation.

WPN intensified its ban on seating scripts recently, as it had seen a rise in players using them. A seating script programmer claimed to have found a way to use the program without being detected, which clearly did not work. The operator automatically detects the use of said programs, and a member of the WPN team manually reviews the case before issuing a warning. If the player commits multiple violations and ignores warnings, that person will be banned.

Stalling is tougher to identify, as it is just a style of play rather than a detectable form of technology. There is a team that watches for this type of behavior and responds to complaints of the same nature. WPN doesn’t ban players for simply taking too long to act, but some do show a pattern of delaying the action in order to slow it all down. If they do this in coordination with other players or with other actions – such as regularly disconnecting from the account to activate the time bank – WPN issues a warning. This can also lead to a ban for repeated infractions.

Later in January, Lew explained other violations like ratholing, bum-hunting, and chat abuse.

Americas Cardroom Problems

I want to bring to your attention for you who play at @ACR_POKER in section 5 in the security and game integrity policy there is a section on unethical behavior such as bumhunting. ACR wants to make the playing environment inviting and friendly. Please keep this in mind grinders. pic.twitter.com/rHRNn7h8yv

— Randy Lew (@nanonoko) January 31, 2021

He created forum topics to allow the team to answer questions and for others to see those answers.

Banned Accounts and Player Refunds

Quite a while ago, WPN CEO Phil Nagy announced that he would be more transparent about banned accounts and subsequent reimbursements. This happened in big numbers in 2019 when dozens of bans appeared on the dedicated page of WPN’s website.

The bans slowed in 2020, with only 17 accounts banned all year, eight of which happened in December. But the reimbursements of $392,488.39 were significant.

Three more accounts received bans in mid-January 2021. WPN confiscated the money in the Canadians’ accounts and reimbursed players with the $72,751.40.

Better Communication

The only person that had been communicating with players via social media from WPN was Nagy himself. Nanonoko is now announcing updates regularly and putting more of a focus on things like software updates so players are more aware and they can ask questions.

New features in the new software update over at @ACR_POKER , all sites need run it twice IMO so great to see it added! https://t.co/spxjV8XNwf

— Randy Lew (@nanonoko) February 17, 2021

And when those updates contain security components, Lew can explain how these changes protect players and improve the quality of the site.

Americas Cardroom Software Overview

The Americas Cardroom poker software was created by IGSoft. It’s descended from the old Dobrosoft platform, and the influence of the older interface on the current one is noteworthy. Nevertheless, there are a ton of improvements and upgrades that have been made since the poker client was first imagined, making this one of the top-rated pieces of poker software for U.S. players.

Americas Cardroom Tables

The table layout at ACR is simple; yet, it gets the job done. Each player name is shown on a nameplate, and these are arranged around the table in the familiar manner. The player avatars here are intriguing in that you can not only select an avatar from among several that are available, but you can also choose between five different emotions for each avatar.

Links near the top of the window let you bring up the hand history viewer (in both text and graphical formats). Additionally, you can access a “View” menu with settings for easier multitabling and the “Options” menu (see below) that permits you to customize your gameplay according to your liking.

Americas Cardroom Lobby

The lobby at Americas Cardroom is divided into the following categories: Hold’em, Omaha & Stud, Jackpots, Tourney, Sit & Go, SnG 2.0, Casino, Sports. These latter two wagering products open up in your web browser, but the others are all located within the main poker software client.

Within each category, there are further divisions to allow you to drill down to the exact games you’re looking for. A powerful set of filters grants you additional power to include or exclude whatever types of poker you want. After narrowing down the selection, it’s possible to sort the games shown according to any of the lobby stats by clicking on the associated column.

From the lobby, you can also access the cashier, the Beast and Sit & Crush leaderboards, and a variety of menus.

Rewards Screen

Rewards are numerous and varied at Americas Cardroom, so it’s handy to have a single place to view them all. This is just what you get with the Rewards screen, which you can go to by clicking on “Rewards” at the top of the lobby.

There are tabs for Points Exchange, Special Offers, Bonuses, Achievement Medals, and Current Status. Within each tab, you can see what rewards you have already earned, the next ones that are coming up, and your progress toward unlocking them.

Table Options

The Table Options window can be opened up by going to the “Options” menu in the lobby and choosing “Table Options” or by clicking on the gear symbol toward the top-left of the poker table.

This is where you will set your auto-buyin and -rebuy values, your preferred seating positions, chat messages, and more. The Themes tab lets you configure how you want the tables to look, including card decks and backgrounds. There’s even a Sounds tab that you can use to upload new audio to replace the standard clips that play when certain events occur.

ACR Poker Game Selection

Americas Cardroom has just about every type of poker game you would expect to see and a few that you probably don’t expect. When you create your account and log in, you’ll get to look forward to:

Cash Games

NLHE and PLO cash games range from tiny $0.01/$0.02 blinds all the way up to stratospheric $50/$100 games, and even PLO/8 goes up to $25/$50. Even the biggest tables sometimes run although you will see more traffic at the lower levels. Fixed-limit games (Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha/8, 7 Card Stud, and 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo) exist as well although volume is limited at most times of day to just a couple of games of each format simultaneously active.

Sit & Go

Sit-and-go contests at ACR span from about the $1.50 level up through $1,000+ buyins. Traffic above about the $60 levels is a bit light however.

NLHE, PLO, and PLO8 are the games supported, and you can enjoy them in heads-up, six-max, and full-ring forms. Turbos, hypers, and regular-speed tables are all spread. Double or Nothing SNGs are not present here though.

Jackpot Poker

Jackpot poker is a type of competition that combines poker and the lottery. When three people register, a randomized number is chosen, and the prize pool is set at whatever figure turns up times the buyin size. You could find yourself contending for up to 2,500 times the buyin!

This is a winner-takes-all affair except if one of the three highest multipliers (100, 200, 2,500) is revealed. In that case, the prize pool is split up 75/15/10, so all three participants take home something, and you can even make a deal (if all three agree) to alter this distribution to 40/30/30.

The buyins for Jackpot Poker are $2, $10, $25, $40 for NL Hold’em and $2, $10, $25 for PL Omaha.

SNG 2.0

A unique innovation in the sit n’ go landscape, SNG 2.0 cannot be played anywhere besides Americas Cardroom and the other Winning Poker Network sites. Before the game begins, everyone takes turns flipping over randomly dealt cards. The mechanics of this pregame phase are a bit convoluted, but suffice it to say that you can unlock higher prize distributions if the right sequences of cards emerge. If you’re truly fortunate, you can even trigger massive jackpots.

The buyin levels for SNG 2.0 are $5 + $0.50, $10 + $1, $25 + $2.50, $50 + $5, and $100 + $9.

Multi-Table Tournaments

Americas Cardroom Sign In

Poker connoisseurs in the United States know that ACR is the place to go for big tournaments every day of the week but especially on Sundays when the Sunday Special runs. This event costs $200 + $15 to enter, and it pays out no less than $150,000 each week. Once every couple of months, there’s also a Million Dollar Sunday priced at $250 + $15 that distributes a seven-figure pool to the lucky winners.

Apart from this regular lineup, Americas Cardroom is home to the Online Super Series, which runs several times per year. It typically has more than 100 events that award millions of dollars in prize money.

ACR Mobile Poker

Americas Cardroom has a mobile client that’s designed to work well with iOS and Android devices. It runs through the web, so there’s no app to download.

This is a new software deployment from ACR, so the game menu is a bit restricted. Right now, you can only access Jackpot Poker and SNG 2.0 games. It’s possible to play up to four tables at a time on your phone or tablet.

Americas Cardroom Withdrawal Payout Options

Hopefully, you’ll accumulate big winnings during your time at ACR, and there are several ways that you can request them sent to you. We advise you to use crypto-currency, like Bitcoin, to do so. You can also get cashouts via check or money transfer service, but these methods are fairly slow, and you might incur additional fees. BTC and crypto payouts don’t have any fees, and they only take a couple of days to reach you.

The payout limits for the various processors are as follows:

  • Crypto-currency: $50 – $10,000
  • Money transfer: $100 – $290
  • Check: $100 – $3,000

Get up to $1,050 FREE!

100% up to $1,000 First Deposit Bonus + $50 More for Free!

Elite Benefits

When you’re a player at Americas Cardroom, you’re entitled to Elite Benefits. As you work your way through the ranks of this program, from Lieutenant to 5-Star General, the rewards will get higher and higher. You’ll unlock cash payments by reaching certain points totals, and you’ll also be able to trade points in for more complimentary money.

The Beast

If you’re a cash game player at ACR, then you’ll automatically earn points toward the weekly The Beast leaderboard. The only ring games that are excluded are heads-up tables. The top placers at the end of each week take home straight cash prizes as well as tournament satellite entries. It’s all funded from a portion of the normal rake – you don’t pay anything extra.

Sit & Crush

If you like grinding out the SNG volume, then Sit & Crush is for you. You’ll earn points merely for playing the sit-n-goes you enjoy. Jackpot Poker counts too. The points you earn are determined by the fees you pay – not how well you do. At the end of each week, the top contenders receive money payouts as well as tickets to satellites tournaments.

Mac Poker

You can download a Mac poker client from Americas Cardroom and access the full range of games, just as you can from a PC. The Mac software is still in public beta, so there may be a few bugs to work out. Still, it’s good resource if you’re a partisan of Mac poker. The poker software should run on any relatively recent Mac system.

Cardroom
Crypto-currency Support

Americas Cardroom doesn’t just transact in the largest of all digital currencies, Bitcoin. It also permits you to make deposits and withdrawals through dozens of other crypto coins as well. Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, OmiseGo, and all your other favorites are here. You aren’t required to have made a deposit via a specific crypto-currency before requesting a withdrawal through it.

The Railbird

With the Railbird feature at Americas Cardroom, your friends don’t need to download anything to watch you play poker. The way it works is that you can copy a link to any table you’re seated at. Share this link with whomever you want, and they will be able to view the action in their web browser. In tournaments, the live feed will even follow you around from table to table.

Spin to Get In

If you’re a bit short of the buyin for that tournament you have your eye on, then you may yet be able to Spin to Get In. Play the tiny slot machine in the tourney lobby for $0.01, $0.25 or $1 per spin. If you hit three of a kind, then you win your entry into the MTT. Spin to Get In is available for tourney re-entries too.

Progressive Payouts

At Americas Cardroom, you don’t have to wait for a tournament to finish before receiving the money you’ve cashed for. As soon as the bubble bursts, your account will be credited with the min-cash. As you progress further up the payout ladder, further cash will be added to your real money balance. You can view how much you’ve been paid at any time.
